I hear that funding for catering practice students is being cut to reduce student contact from 700 to 600 hours. I wonder how much legislation would reduce if ministers had their secretarial budgets similarly reduced?

My advice to a UK catering career starter - choose your mentor/employer who has the best Brand value and work for them. Forget government VQs and Apprentiships until their quality and industry acceptance is more of a gold standard, rather than today's quicksand qualifications.
