Each Semester Dr. David Wood the course facilitator invites Hospitality businesses to have a review of their online situation. This forms a major piece of work for the students who will possible never have to build any eMarketing campaign practically but must know the operational advantages, pitfalls and down falls of on-line marketing and the so called Web 2.0 effect.
The students are asked to build their own web site with given elements they must complete. Links to their web pages are made from this site.
More importantly the students are asked singly and/or in groups to review certain aspects of a companies eMarketing efforts to provide examples of best practice and how improvements can be made for the future and why.
These student, remarkably have only 28 hours of instruction but many go on to choose this as a career major. These projects provide them with real life experiences and problems. Their work is often superior to that provided by Web Designers and Media Management operators.
Anyone interested reading these projects is welcome to write to Dr. Wood and ask to be included in the programme. If your project provides a good learning experience then it will be included in a future semester on the Les Roches MBA programme.
